We are proud to inform you that Brushy Creek MUD is the recent recipient of the Government Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Distinguished Budget Presentation Award. The District also won the GFOA budget award for its FY25 budget. 
 

To win the award, government entities must produce a budget document that is rated “proficient” in four categories:
  

More than 1,700 government entities participate in the GFOA awards submission each year, and BCMUD stands out significantly because it has recently transformed its financial reporting to meet the top-tier national standards of the association.
 

The Distinguished Budget Presentation Award was established in 1984 to encourage and assist state and local governments as they prepare their budgets to meet best practices that include enhancing transparency and excelling as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications tool.
